‘Music … is music’, so try walking in my shoes
A new walk saw the daylight this week. These boots are made for walking: After The City Walk Reykjavik, The Reykjavik Food Walk, it’s time to put your music shoes on!
Arnar Eggert Thoroddsen, a former music journalist for Morgunblaðið (1999-2012), the writer of the book “Tónlist … er tónlist” (containing the interviews, album reviews & comments) and co-writer of the book “100 Bestu Plötur Íslandssögunnar” (together with Jónatan Garðarsson, 2009), starts a new project downtown 101 RVK.
As a holder of a PhD in Musicology from the University of Edinburgh (2015), it will be easy for him to entertain the music enthusiasts with stories about the city’s musical history, old and brand new items.
The ‘Reykjavik Music Walk’ as it is called, kicks of at the musical heart of the capital area, ‘Harpa’, the biggest live music venue of the island.
So take the long walk home…
