Unun, Icelandic for joy, fun or pleasure, was the band with the coolest logo of the country (runners-up are Das Kapital and Rass). Two notorious men in Icelandic music scene formed the band in 1993: guitarist Þór Eldon Jónsson (ex-Fan Houtens Koko, ex-The Sugarcubes) aka Thor Eldon, the ex-husband of Björk; and bassist Gunnar Lárus Hjálmarsson aka Dr. Gunni (ex-S.H. Draumur, ex-Bless). The name of the band appeared during a Scrabble game. Later on singer Kristín joined the duo, so the threesome could start to rehearse at Gunni’s apartment. On the 1.
