Kiss from a Rós

Troubadour Myrra Rós takes you on a rowing trip on a rippling river with her 2nd full album “One amongst others”. Three years ago she released her debut album “Kveldúlfur”. Now she’s back with a 7-track album that features more electronics than the first one: electrofolk for good folks. A tricky and risky move for a folkie in my humble opinion, but it works out well.

The sky is the limit in the magnificent 7 heavenly tracks driven by her characteristic voice. Seven songs stick together like a puzzle. Myrra Rós succeeds in creating an universe of her own on “One Amongst Others”. It is a galaxy with flickering stars, black holes and a meandering milky ways.

Take your fish oil and protein pills, grab a warm fleece, sit down near a cosy campfire and watch the Northern lights all night long, with “One Amongst Others” on repeat. C’est la vie en Rós!
