Megas “Loftmynd “

“Loftmynd” (Aerial view/Aerial photograph) was released on 10. November 1987 by Icelandic singer Megas, alias of Magnús Þór Jónsson. Album was released on Gramm label and features singer Björk and her sister Inga Guðmundsdóttir as backing vocalists.

This was release # 34 of the famous Icelandic record label Gramm.
LP also includes Guðlaugur Kristinn Óttarsson aka GuðKrist (of Þeyr fame) on guitar, Sigtryggur Baldursson (of Þeyr, KUKL, Sugarcubes fame) on drums, Haraldur Þorsteinsson on bass, EyÞór Gunnarsson on piano & keyboards.

The album was recorded by Brian Pugsley at Stúdíó Sýrland and also Stúdíó Stemma. Pugsley had been working for the British One Little Indian Label.

Front cover shows the lake Tjörnin and surroundings, a photograph of Ljósmyndasafn Reykjavíkur (Reykjavik Museum of Photography) was reproduced.

7500 copies were sold.

The album tells the story of the history of the capital Reykjavík.
Release concert was on 2. December 1987 at The Icelandic Opera.
